Please read and understand this entire manual before attempting to assemble, operate or install the product.
READ AND FOLLOW ALL SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
WARNING:
• Disconnect power at source prior to attempting installation.
• This product is not a toy and contains small parts. Close supervision is needed when used near
children.
• The remote control contains a CR2025 battery (button battery). If swallowed, it could cause severe
injury or death in just 2 hours. Seek medical attention immediately.
Do not dispose of batteries in re. Batteries may explode or leak.
Remove exhausted batteries from the product.
Please dispose of batteries properly.
• Never fold tape light. Never bend past the bend radius of 60°
whether powered o or lighted.
• Never operate tape light while it is coiled on a reel.
• Route and secure cords so that they will not be piched or damaged in any way. Do not use staples,
nails, or other sharp objects to mount the tape light or cords as this may damage the outer jacket of
the product.
• Do not install near or around ammable or corrosive materials. Do not cover product.
• This product is intended for dry location use only. Do not locate in damp or wet locations nor where
water may be present.
• Only use the power adapter included with the kit. Do not operate with any other power supply.
• This product can be interconnected with other Patriot 346-2533 16ft RGB Tape Light Kits. Do not
connect together more than 2 kits in the same run (on the same power adapter).
• The National Electrical Code (NEC) does not permit cords to be concealed where damage to
insulation may go unnoticed. To prevent re danger, do not run cord behind walls, ceilings, sots,
or cabinets where it may be inaccessible for examination. Cords should be visually examined
periodically and immediately replaced when and damage is noted.
CAUTION:
• This Color Changing Tape Light is intended for decorative use only.
• To clean, use a soft damp cloth. DO NOT use alcohol, benzene, or thinner to clean.
SAVE THESE INSTRUCTIONS
Before beginning assembly, installation, or operation of product, make sure all parts are present. Compare
parts with package and hardware contents lists on page 1. If any part is missing or damaged, do not attempt
to assemble, install or operate the product. Contact customer service for replacement parts.

WARNING
Disconnect power at source prior to attempting installation. This product is designed to be mounted to a
clean, smooth, non-moving surface. Test the LED strip before tearing o the protective paper. Once placed,
it should not be removed or repositioned. NOTE: For best results, let the adhesive cure for 24 hours before
using lights. This LED product is designed to be used only with the 12V power adapter included with the kit.
Do not operate with any other power supply type.

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
1. Determine the desired location
for installation of the tape light (A).
Keep in mind the distance to the
nearest power outlet should not
exceed 50 inches. Lightly mark the
location.
6. Once all tape light pieces (A)
are securely xed to a mounting
surface and all desired linking
cables (C) have been attached,
connect the in-line receiver (B) to
the rst piece of tape light (A) in
the series using the same process
described in Step 3.
7. Connect the 12V power adapter
(D) to the in-line receiver (B) by
plugging the DC connection jack
into the input side of the in-line
receiver (B).
7. Use remote control (H) for
on/o control, dimming, and color
control. Remove plastic tab from
battery door before use.

2. Using the tape to tape linking
cable (C): Insert the 4 pins
from the linking cable (C) into
the end of the tape light piece
(A), ensuring the arrows are
aligned.
6. Plug the 12V power adapter (D)
to an appropriate power outlet.
3. Cutting the tape light:
Use a pair of sharp scissors to cut
the tape at a cutting increment,
as indicated. Tape light is cuttable
every 6 LEDs (avoid the tinned
junctures).
4. Using straight connectors (E):
Trim the coating from the cut end
of the tape light (A) to expose the
copper conductors underneath.
Insert cut end of the tape light
(A) into the straight connector,
ensuring the copper conductors
are seated underneath the teeth of
the straight connector (E).
5. Remove the adhesive backing
from the tape light (A). Gently
press the tape light (A) into place
according to the marks made
in step 1. Repeat the step until all
four pieces of tape light (A) have
been installed.

8. To replace remote control’s
battery (I), follow directions on
the back of remote control (H) to
slide battery drawer out. Replace
battery (+ side up) and slide battery
drawers back in place.
