Power Management and Backlight
The PWR/BKLT key provides access to the DMXDart’s power management
features, as well as operation of the LCD backlight. Pressing the PWR/BKLT
key accesses the top-level power functions menu.

From this display, pressing the MENU key returns to the previous menu.
Pressing the OFF key turns the unit off, and pressing the PWR/BKLT key toggles
the LCD backlight on and off.
NOTE:
The backlight is set to automatically turn off after 2 minutes of inactivity.
NOTE:
This is the only menu that allows the operator to power down the DMXDart. This
menu can be accessed directly at any time by pressing the PWR/BKLT key.
The PWR/BKLT key also provides access to the DMXDart’s power management
software. The DMXDart has been designed to achieve the highest possible
operating time using a standard 9-volt battery. The power management software
tracks battery life, and calculates the time remaining. DMXDart’s power
consumption monitoring can also be used as a DMX troubleshooting tool.
Excessive power consumption during DMX transmit functions can be an
indication of cable problems.
From the power management screen, pressing Ü to access the Battery Status
display:
