Introduction
The PASCO Basic Optics System contains the optics components you will need for a variety of experiments and
demonstrations. This manual includes student instructions and teacher’s notes for 17 typical experiments.
For an even greater variety, you can expand the system with any of the Basic Optics kits and components avail-
able from PASCO, including lasers, polarizers, diffraction slits, and light sensors. See the PASCO Physics cata-
