1. Turn the power off for the dishwasher at the main
circuit breaker.
2. Remove the cap and unthread the collar from the
air gap.
3. Slip the air gap up through the mounting hole from
underneath the sink deck. Ensure ½” of the air gap
threads are visible above the sink deck.
4. Thread collar onto air gap. Tighten the retaining nut
to secure air gap in place.
5. Replace cap.
6. Attach the dishwasher outlet hose (5/8” O.D.) to the air
gap inlet (straight leg of the air gap).
Secure with a clamp.
7. Attach the garbage disposal hose or drain hose
(7/8” O.D.) to the air gap outlet
(angled leg of the air gap). Secure with clamp.
8. Turn on power for the dishwasher at the main circuit
breaker. Check for leaks.
