Backseating Valves
Parker’s Backseating Valves are used as service valves
in air-conditioning and heat-pump systems. The valves
isolate sections of a system for servicing and provide a
means for charging refrigerant into a unit.
Application
• Residential split-system air conditioners and heat
pumps
Technical Information Backseating Valves
Features and Benefits
• Precision machining of the stem and valve seats,
as well as composite packing or o-ring stem
seals, translates into reliable and repeatable
sealing.
• Isolated chargeport minimizes refrigerant loss
during servicing.
• Brass body and copper connection tubes virtually
eliminate corrosion-related problems.
• Copper-sweat connections provide basic ends
for brazing and eliminate the need for flux,
simplifying the installation process.
• Multiple end configurations are available, along
with assemblies, to meet the unique needs and
flow patterns of a unit.
Valox® is a federally registered trademark of the General Electric
Company.

Frontseat maximum operating temperature for 1-3/8" valve body
is +210°F (+99C)
* Brass Bar per ASTM-B16, Alloy C36000.
** Due to the numerous manufacturers of refrigerant oils and
continuous changes of additives, compatibility can not be
guaranteed. Please contact Parker for compatibility of
refrigerants and refrigerant oils not listed.
