Backseating Valves
Parker’s Backseating Valves are used as service valves
in air-conditioning and heat-pump systems. The valves
isolate sections of a system for servicing and provide a
means for charging refrigerant into a unit.
Application
Residential split-system air conditioners and heat
pumps
Technical Information Backseating Valves
Features and Benefits
Precision machining of the stem and valve seats,
as well as composite packing or o-ring stem
seals, translates into reliable and repeatable
sealing.
Isolated chargeport minimizes refrigerant loss
during servicing.
Brass body and copper connection tubes virtually
eliminate corrosion-related problems.
Copper-sweat connections provide basic ends
for brazing and eliminate the need for flux,
simplifying the installation process.
Multiple end configurations are available, along
with assemblies, to meet the unique needs and
flow patterns of a unit.
Valox® is a federally registered trademark of the General Electric
Company.

Frontseat maximum operating temperature for 1-3/8" valve body
is +210°F (+99C)
* Brass Bar per ASTM-B16, Alloy C36000.
** Due to the numerous manufacturers of refrigerant oils and
continuous changes of additives, compatibility can not be
guaranteed. Please contact Parker for compatibility of
refrigerants and refrigerant oils not listed.
