Options
The virtual machine options include the following settings:
 Startup and Shutdown. In this pane, you can define a number of parameters related to the
procedures of starting and shutting down your virtual machine.
 Optimization (p. 176). These settings relate to the virtual
machine performance.
 Security (p. 179). These settings determine the overall level
of virtual machine isolation
from Mac OS X.
 Sharing (p. 181). In this pane, you can manage sharing parameters between the host and
guest operating systems.
 Applications. These settings relate to sharing applications between the guest Windows OS
and Mac OS X.
 Backup (p. 186). In this pane, you can schedule the automatic creation of snapshots.
 Coherence (p. 188). In this pane, you can configure a number of options related to the
Coherence view
mode.
 Full Screen (p. 190). In this pane, you can configure a num
ber of options related to the Full
Screen view mode.
 Modality (p. 192). In this pane, you can configure a num
ber of Modality-related options for
your virtual machine.
 Advanced (p. 193). In this pane, you can configure the
Parallels Desktop additional settings.
