Controlling SNMP Access
The FrameSaver unit supports SNMP Version 1, which provides limited security
through the use of community names. There are three methods for limiting SNMP
access:
H Disabling SNMP access.
H Assigning SNMP community names and the access type.
H Assigning IP addresses of those NMSs that can access the unit.
Disabling SNMP Access
When the SNMP access is disabled, the FrameSaver unit will not respond to
SNMP messages.
" Procedure
To disable SNMP access:
1. Select the General SNMP Management options.

2. Disable the SNMP Management option.
