USING THE microSD CARD

The microSD Card stores sounds, images, photos,

music and other files.

The TXT8040 comes with a 1GB pre-installed

microSD Card.

INSTALLING THE microSD CARD

To install your microSD Card:

1. Open the microSD Card cover, and insert the

microSD Card into the slot with the gold contacts

facing down.

2. Press the microSD Card until you hear the 'click'

and close the microSD Card cover. Then, “CARD

INSERTED. PICTURE & SOUND WILL BE SAVED

TO CARD MEMORY. CONTINUE?” will appear on

the display.

3. Select Yes and press the OK Key.

To prevent possible damages, please keep the microSD

Card slot closed at all times regardless of whether the

microSD Card is inserted or not.

REMOVING THE microSD CARD

To remove the microSD Card:

1. Open the microSD Card cover, and use your

thumb to press and release the microSD Card. Press

the memory card inward, gently, until it pops out.

2. Remove the microSD Card and close the microSD

Card cover.

y Do not remove the microSD Card while reading or

writing files. Otherwise it could be damaged.

y To ensure the proper function of removable memory,

please use a microSD Card.

MUSIC & TONES

To access the Music & Tones menu:

GET NEW RINGTONES

To connect to Media Center and download various

ringtones:

1. From idle mode, press the OK Key to unlock the

keypad. Press the Left Soft Key [ ] [MENU], select

Media Center and press the OK Key, then swivel to

the QWERTY keypad and press 1. Music & Tones, 1.

Get New Ringtones.

2. If you have not downloaded any ringtones or

ringtone applications previously, press 1. Get New

Applications and follow the prompts.
