4. Options during a call
To adjust the call volume
To adjust the earpiece volume during a call, do one of the following.
To increase the call volume during a call, press the [Up] volume
key on the left side of the phone.
To decrease the call volume during a call, press the [Down]
volume key on the left side of the phone.
In Standby mode, you can adjust the key tone volume using the
[Up/Down] volume keys.
To display call options
During a call, press the [ ] key to show the call options.
To switch your microphone off (mute) or on (unmute)
You can temporarily switch your phone’s microphone off so that the
person you talk to on the phone cannot hear you.
For example, you may wish to say something to another person in the
room but do not want the person calling to hear you.
To switch your phone’s microphone off
Press the [Mute] Soft key, or press Option then Mute.
To switch your phone’s microphone back on
Press the [Sound] Soft key, or press Option then Sound.
To put a call on hold, and return to a held call
You can put a call on hold whenever you want.
You can make another call while you have a call in progress if your
network service provider supports this service. Of these two calls, one
is active and the other is on hold, and you can switch between the
calls.
To put a call on hold
Press the [Option] Soft key then [Hold], or press the [ ] key.
The callers name and icon are grayed while the call is held.
To return to the call
Press the [Option] Soft key then [Retrieve].
To make a call while you are in a call
1. Enter the phone number that you want to dial or look it up in
Contacts.
2. Press the [
] key to dial the second call. The first call is
automatically put on hold.
To switch between two calls
Press the [Swap] Soft key or [ ] key. The current call is put on
hold and the call on hold is reactivated so that you can continue
your conversation with the caller.
