Settings
Privacy
Backing up data
1. Tap Settings > Privacy.
2. Tap Back up my data if you want to back up your data.
3. Tap Automatic restore if you want to restore backed-up
data for an application.
Resetting the phone
1. Tap Settings > Privacy.
2. Tap Factory data reset if you want to erase all data from the
phone.
3. Tap Reset phone.
4. Tap Erase everything.
Note To erase all the data on the phone’s SD card, such as music
or photos, check Erase SD card check box before tapping Reset
phone.
SD card & phone storage
Selecting the USB mode
1. Tap Settings > Storage.
2. Tap USB Mode. If you turn on the USB debugging function,
tap OK to turn it off.
3. Tap Media Transfer, Mass storage or Ask on connection,
tap OK, and follow the relevant steps.
Viewing the status of space
1. Tap Settings > Storage. The status of space available for
the phone is displayed.
2. Tap Unmount SD card > OK if you want to remove the SD
card from the phone safely. Tap Mount SD card if you want
to mount the card.
3. Tap Erase SD card to permanently erases everything on
your phone’s SD card and prepares it for use with your
phone.
Language & keyboard
Selecting the language
1. Tap Settings > Language & keyboard > Select language.
2. Select and tap a language to use for the phone.
Setting Swype
1. Tap Settings > Language & keyboard > Swype(Swype
settings).
2. Tap Word prediction if you want to see predicted words as
you type in the Swype.
3. Tap Word choice window and drag the bar to the left or the
right if you want to adjust the frequency of the word choice
window, and tap OK.
4. Tap Speed vs. accuracy, drag the bar to the left or the right
if you want to adjust the response speed and tap OK.
Setting the Android keyboard
1. Tap Settings > Language & keyboard > Android
keyboard(Android keyboard settings), and tap to check(or
uncheck) the functions for your preference.
2. Check Vibrate on keypress to have the phone vibrate
briefly each time you touch a key on the onscreen
keyboard.
