Setting Fingerprint Authentication
After the selecting the location of the registered
fingerprint by using the / Navigation, select
Set as authentication via the Pop-up Menu.
You can set only one fingerprint for
authentication.
If you have used the Handset lock shortcut key(#)
on the idle screen to execute the lock function and
the authentication by the fingerprint
authentication is not set, the fingerprint registration screen will
appear. If there is an already registered fingerprint, you can only use
the Set as authentication to activate the lock function. If there is
no registered fingerprint, you can directly register the fingerprint to
use. Also, if you dont want to use the lock function by fingerprint
authentication, press the
key. Then you can use the lock
function by entering a key password.
Authentication operation
1. In the standby screen, an icon that looks like the finger selected
by the user for Fingerprint for Authentication will be displayed.
2. Press the key to view the window for fingerprint
authentication.
3. You can unlock the handset either by keying in the current
password or by using the fingerprint authentication If you dont
want to execute the fingerprint authentication, press any digit
key. Then you can execute the password authentication by
keying.
4. Once the fingerprint for authentication has been set, it becomes
activated either when you enter the Fingerprint Menu again or
enter the Menu tree set in the Handset lock or Privacy Setting.
5. You can set only one of the 10 fingerprints. And it is the same
fingerprint used in the Privacy mode.
