5. Scan the same finger three times or more for

registration. If you fail to register the fingerprint,

scan it again. Please note that you can scan the

same fingerprint up to 7 times only. If you

successfully register a fingerprint within the

maximum scanning time (7), it is considered

that you have succeeded in one registration.

6. If you fail to register a fingerprint three times in

a row, a help animation will appear to show

you how to scan a fingerprint.

7. Starting from the end of the finger knuckle, tightly press the face

of the finger unto the sensor and move it downward. It is

important that you tightly press the finger and move it downward

regardless whether the key button is pressed down or not.

<TIP>

Registration or authentication may not be carried out properly if

the finger that contacts the fingerprint sensor is dry.

Finger Scan result message description

These are the messages that describe the possible cases when

registering a fingerprint.

•

Capture Success: This message appears when the user’s

fingerprint has been successfully scanned.

• Capture Fail: This message appears when the user’s fingerprint

has been failed. The reason for failure will be displayed with

icons.

•

Enroll Fail: This message appears when the three of successfully

scanned fingerprints are not matching. In this case you should

scan again until the registration is successful.

• Mismatch finger: The fingerprint does not match.
