PSL-MLDC Durable Cable for Multiple
Lockout Device
Prevents inadvertent, accidental or unintentional energization of gate valves and the electrical
circuit for disconnect switches. Immobilizes large and cumbersome devices. May be used as a
hasp (6 lock maximum) – No Installation Tools Required
Step 1:
Verify valve is de-energized. Thread
end of cable through gate valve
handle and then through loophole of
cable.
Step 2:
With loophole tight against the gate
valve and lockout open, continue
threading end of cable through the
pre-notched opening of lockout
device.
Step 3:
Cinch up plastic lockout body onto
cable, forming a secure bond.
Step 4:
Insert up to six padlocks and tags
into holes of the hasp. Verify that
the lockout device secures the gate
valve in a safe or off position.
Step 1:
Verify disconnect is de-energized.
Thread cable through holes on each
disconnect handle. Insert end of
cable through loophole and tightly
hold firm near lockout point.
Step 2:
Thread end of cable through pre-
notched opening of lockout device.
Step 3:
Cinch up plastic lockout body onto
cable, forming a secure bond.
Step 4:
Insert up to six padlocks and tags
into holes of the hasp. Verify that
the lockout device secures the
disconnect switches in a safe or off
position.

Instructions and photos demonstrate installation with the loop hole of the cable. User shall determine
if threading the cable in both the top hole and pre-notched opening better secures the energy isolating
device in a safe or off position.
• The PSL-MLD accommodates Panduit PSL-6, PSL-7, PSL-8 padlock series (0.3” shackle diameter
maximum)
• The PSL-MLDC six foot coated galvanized steel cable may be purchased seperately.
For extended cable lengths order 200 foot cable, cable crimps, and crimp tool (PSL-MLDC200,
PSL-MLD-CRIMP, and PSL-MLD-TOOL) .

limited to the replacement of any product proved to be defective within si

months (for product) or 90 days (for tools) from the date of delivery. Tool
warranty is void if Panduit tools are modified, altered or misused in any
way. Use of Panduit tooling with any product other than the specified
Panduit products for which the tool was designed, constitutes misuse.

Installation Procedure Warning!
A
lways perform an Electrical De-Energization Test and a
Blocking verification Test before using this product.
ELECTRICAL DE-ENERGIZATION TEST:
A
ll associated circuitry and/or energy isolating devices
should be electrically verified as de-energized prior to and
following the installation of the lockout device.
BLOCKING VERIFICATION TEST:
If this lockout device cannot be affixed in a manner that
will hold the appropriate energy isolating devices in a safe
or off position, the devices SHALL NOT be used.

PPROPRIATE USE of these lockout devices is the sole
responsibility of the user in relation to compliance with
OSHA’s Lockout/Tagout regulations
