Single channel metal raceway shall be used to route, protect, and conceal
power wiring or communication cabling. The raceway shall be listed as
suitable for use in applications up to 600 volts between conductors by
Underwriters Laboratories, Inc. per standard 5 and by Canadian Standards
Association, Inc. per C22.2 No. 62-93 when installed per applicable
instructions. A full complement of fittings must be available, as well as
junction boxes and faceplates to accommodate a variety of electrical and
communication devices. Fittings and boxes must be manufactured to ensure
adequate electrical bond is present throughout the raceway system. Channel
must be a tamper resistant one-piece construction and install to mounting
surface with snap-on attachment means, yet allow for accessibility for
moves, adds, and changes. System must be manufactured of galvanized
steel with a protective polymer finish in either white or almond color. Single
channel metal raceway shall be optimized for use with common electrical
termination devices and network components.
