Information on DVD-R Disc Yon calmot record a still on DVD-R disc, or delete any recorded images or data. For optinmm recording on DVD-R disc. this DVD Video Camera writes control data to the disc in order to automatically make adjusnnents w'hen it is inserted and ejected accompanying recording. If the disc has no area to be written for adiustment, recording may not be possible. To prevent this, do not insert or _iect a DVD-R disc which has been recorded on more than 50 times.
Handling Discs OUsing discs OStoring discs DVD-RAM and DVD-R discs are very delicate recording media. Setting Up the DVD Video Camera Holding DVD Video Camera Using Grip Belt Insert yottr right hand from the bottom of DVD Video Camera up to the base ofyottr thmnb. Put yottr hand in a position where you can easily operate the REC button and the Zoom lever. Acliust the length of grip belt so that the DVD Video Camera is stable when you press the REC button with your thumb. 1) Detach the belt.
To use as a Grip Belt again 1 Attach the tip of the grip belt to the DVD Video Camera (1). Press down the lock cover inthe direction of the arrow so that the belt will not _;allom (2). Zooming This DVD Video Camera allows you to record using optical 18- (on VDR-MSOPP) or 10- (on VDR-M7OPP) power zoom and digital zoom. If you continue to hold the zoom lexer on the "'2"'"control side with Dig. Zoom 40x or 240x specified, the digital zoom will be actix ated midway (when optical 18-power is exceeded on VDR-M50PP or optical lO-power is exceeded onVDR-M70PP). You can set the digital zoom up to 40x in photo mode, and 40x and 500x (on VDRM50PP) or 240x (on VDR-MTOPP).
Macro Recording Use the macro function when recording a small object from close-up position: You can shoot the sut!iect as close as approximately 1316" (2 cm) froln the lens surface magnil\,ing the image to fill the screen. 1 Aizn the DVD Video Calnera at the subject, and press down the zoom lexer to "W" control side.
