■Handling the lamp unit
Warning
●
Before replacing the lamp unit, be sure to turn
off the mains power, and then remove the
mains plug from the wall outlet. If you perform
work without removing the mains plug, it could
result in an electric shock or bursting of the
lamp.
●
Please request your local Panasonic dealer for
lamp unit replacement.
●
Do not disassemble the lamp unit. Bursting of
the lamp could cause injury.
●
When replacing the lamp unit, do not remove
any screws other than those indicated. Doing
so could result in an electric shock, burns, or
injury.
●
Replace the lamp unit after turning off the
projector, and waiting for the lamp to cool down
(wait for at least one hour). The inside of the
cover is very hot, and could cause burns.
●
If the lamp bursts, do not touch it and bring
your face close to it. You may get hurt from the
scattered glass pieces, or may inhale the gas
emitted from the bursting of the lamp.
•
Immediately perform ventilation. If the
emitted gas is inhaled or enters the eyes and
mouth, immediately consult the doctor.
•
The gas emitted as a result of bursting of
the lamp contains as much mercury as in a
fluorescent lamp.
•
Request your local dealer for lamp
replacement and cleaning inside the
projector.
●
Do not use an old lamp unit (a lamp unit that
has exceeded its effective service life). If you
continue to use such a lamp, it may burst.
•
The lamp unit is a consumable.
■Radio waves
Warning
●
Do not use the projector in any medical
institutions or locations with medical
equipment. Radio waves may interfere with the
medical equipment and may cause accidents
due to malfunction.
●
Do not use the projector near any automatic
control equipment such as automatic doors or
fire alarms. Radio waves may interfere with the
automatic control equipment and may cause
accidents due to malfunction.
●
Keep at least 15 cm away from the projector
if you have a cardiac pacemaker. Radio
waves may interfere with the operation of the
pacemaker.
●
Do not disassemble or alter the projector in any
way.
■Built-in wireless LAN
Caution
●
Do not use the built-in wireless LAN to connect
to any wireless network (SSID
*
) for which you
do not have usage rights. Such networks may
be listed as a result of searches. However,
using them may be regarded as illegal access.
*
SSID is a name for identifying a particular
wireless network for transmission.
●
Do not subject the built-in wireless LAN to high
temperatures, direct sunlight or moisture.
●
Data transmitted and received over radio
waves may be intercepted and monitored.
●
The built-in wireless LAN uses 2.4 GHz
and 5 GHz frequency bands. To avoid
malfunctions or slow response caused by
radio wave interference when using the built-in
wireless LAN, keep the projector away from
other devices that use 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz
signals such as other wireless LAN devices,
microwave ovens, and mobile phones.
●
When problems occur due to static electricity,
etc., the projector might stop operating to
protect itself. In this case, turn the projector off
at the MAIN POWER switch, then turn it back
on.
