Connection Digital TV - Set-Top Box (DTV-STB) or DVD Connection This TV is capable of displaying 480i, 1080i and 480p DTV signals when connected to a DTV Tuner Set-Top-Box (STB) or using the internal DTV Tuner. This TV also utilizes a progressive scan doubler, which de-interlaces the NTSC signal and progressively scans the image. This allows you to sit close to the TV and not see the thin black horizontal lines (venetian blind effect) associated with interlaced TV pictures.
Connection Amplifier Connection For a full Home Theater sound experience, an external Dolby Digital∗ decoder and a multichannel amplifier must be connected to the DIGITAL AUDIO OUT terminal on the TV. ∗ Dolby Digital 5.1 channel surround sound delivers digital-quality sound. Procedure 1. Connect the cable antenna to ANTENNA (A). 2. Insert the CableCARDTM (as its front side facing down) into CableCARDTM slot on the back of the Receiver. 3. Turn the TV on (see page 19). 4. Photo Viewer Folders and Files • Photo Viewer can only show still images recorded by a digital still camera with DCF∗ and EXIF standard JPEG file. ∗DCF (Design rule for Camera File system) Unified standard established by Japan Electronics and Information Technology Industries Association (JEITA). • Memory cards must be formatted with FAT12 or FAT16 in order to be viewed on TV. If the card is not formatted, it may cause incompatibility with certain memory card adapters.
Photo Viewer Thumbnail Mode The thumbnail screen is the initial entry screen from the main menu. • When both SD card and PCMCIA card are inserted, the TV plays SD card. Preparation: Connect the plug of the external component to the wall outlet. The mode selection buttons flashes, and then release the POWER and OK.

Troubleshooting Chart Plasma Display panel Symptoms Some parts of the screen do not light up. An after-image appears Whirring sounds can be heard from the display unit. When turning the unit on, the PDP LED momentarily turns green then the unit shuts off and LED turns Red.
