It provides easy access to special features such as the Media Player, videos, games, communication tools, etc. as shown below (example). Watching external input Connect the external equipment (VCRs, DVD equipment, etc.) and you can watch through the input. 1. Display the input selection menu with AV 2. HDMI features HDMI (high-definition multimedia interface) is the world’s first complete digital consumer AV interface complying with a non-compression standard. HDMI allows you to enjoy high-definition digital images and high-quality sound by connecting the TV and the equipment. HDMI-compatible equipment with an HDMI or DVI output terminal, such as a DVD player, a set top box or game equipment, can be connected to the HDMI terminal using an HDMI compliant (fully wired) cable.
■■DVI connection If the external equipment has only a DVI output, connect to the HDMI terminal via a DVI to HDMI adaptor cable. In each Viewing Mode, Backlight, Contrast, Brightness, Colour, Tint, Sharpness, Colour Temperature, Vivid Colour, Adaptive Backlight Control, Ambient Sensor, Noise Reduction, MPEG Remaster, Resolution Remaster, Caption Smoother, Brilliance Enhancer, Intelligent Frame Creation and 24p Smooth Film can be adjusted and stored. When in Monitor, Custom or Professional1 / 2 mode, Advanced Settings can be adjusted additionally. The settings in Monitor, Custom or Professional1 / 2 mode can be stored for each input.
Aspect Change the aspect ratio (image size) with ASPECT. ●● Enjoy viewing the image at its optimum size and aspect. ■■To change the aspect ratio manually 1. TV Guide Freeview Guide Using the Freeview Guide enables you to select a programme easily, view programme information, etc. The Freeview Guide - Electronic Programme Guide (EPG) provides an on-screen listing of the programmes currently broadcast and the future broadcasts over the next seven days (depending on the broadcasters). ●● For Digital TV 1. 3D Note ●● Display the image (TV, external input, etc.) full-screen for viewing 3D. ●● If light appears to flicker under fluorescents or dimmers when using the 3D Eyewear, change the setting of 3D Refresh Rate. Watching 3D 3D Settings ●● Do not exert pressure on or scratch the lens of the 3D Eyewear. ●● 3D content will not be correctly visible if the 3D Eyewear is worn upside down or back-to-front.
●● Mode change – Press and hold for approx. 1 second to change the mode between 3D and 2D (view a 3D image in 2D). – When power is off, press and hold for approx. 5 seconds to change to registration mode. Watching ●● 3D 3D Eyewear - Registration Indicator lamp – Lights or flashes during use to show the status (see below). Protection film – Peel off the protection film on both side of the lens. Insulating sheet Battery cover – When using for the first time, remove the insulating sheet.
■■Storing and cleaning the 3D Eyewear ●● Store the 3D Eyewear in a cool, dry place. ●● Clean using a soft, dry cloth. – Wiping the 3D Eyewear with a cloth that is covered in dust or dirt may scratch the eyewear. Shake off any dust from the cloth before use. – The lens of the 3D Eyewear is easily broken. Be careful when cleaning the lens. ●● Do not use benzene, thinner or wax on the 3D Eyewear, otherwise this may cause peeling of the paint. ●● Do not dunk the 3D Eyewear in liquid such as water.
3D Eyewear - Replacing battery When the battery is running low, the indicator lamp flashes 5 times on turning the 3D Eyewear on. In this case, early battery replacement is recommended. ●● Dispose of the old batteries as non-burnable rubbish, or in line with the waste disposal regulations in your local area. 1. Remove the battery cover using pen tip or screwdriver (minus -) etc. 2. Replace the battery (coin-shaped lithium battery CR2025) ●● If difficulty, remove it with the tip of the driver.
Viewing 3D You can enjoy viewing 3D images with contents or programmes corresponding to the 3D effect by wearing the 3D Eyewear. ●● This TV supports Frame Sequential, Side by Side and Top and Bottom 3D formats. – Frame Sequential is the 3D format that the images for the left and right eyes are recorded with the high definition quality and alternately played back. ●● 3D content of 4K format is not supported. ●● The 3D Eyewear must be worn to view 3D images.

3D Refresh Rate (Auto / 100Hz / 120Hz) Reduces juddering and flicker noises of the 3D images when using the 3D Eyewear. 100Hz: If light appears to flicker under fluorescents (or dimmers) of 50 Hz. 120Hz: If light appears to flicker under fluorescents (or dimmers) of 60 Hz. 2D 3D Depth (Max / Mid / Min) Selects a level of 3D-image depth for viewing converted 2D images. 3D Adjustment (On / Off) Adjustment of the 3D effect (except in 2D 3D mode). Set to On to enable Effect setting.
L/R Picture Swap (L/R (Normal) / R/L (Reversed)) Swaps pictures for left eye and right eye (except in 2D 3D mode). Select R/L (Reversed) if you feel that the sense of depth is unusual. ●● This setting will not be memorised when changing the input mode or channel. Edge Smoother (On / Off) Set to On if you feel the contoured parts of an image are not smooth enough (except in 2D 3D mode). Safety Precautions Displays the precautions for viewing 3D images.
Source image format If the picture appears to be abnormal, refer to the table of images that can be seen for each 3D Mode Selection (Manual) and the source image format, and select the correct 3D mode. ●● 3D images are displayed correctly with appropriate 3D format as following yellow boxes.
Tuning and editing channels Setting menu You can retune channels, create your favourite channel lists, skip unwanted channels, etc. 1. Select Digital TV or Analogue TV with TV 2. Update Channel List By updating the Digital TV channel list, you can add new channels, delete removed channels or change channel names and positions automatically. ●● The channel list is updated while keeping your settings in Favourites Edit, Channel List, Child Lock, etc. ●● Depending on the signal condition, the update may not work properly.
