Features This unit allows you to convert the security type of your home Wi-Fi® environment from WPATM to WPA2TM. WPA TM Broadband router, etc. This unit PC, smartphone, etc.
Unit care Clean this unit with a soft, dry cloth. ≥ Never use alcohol, paint thinner or benzine to clean this unit. ≥ Before using chemically treated cloth, carefully read the cloth’s instructions. ∫ To dispose or transfer this unit The unit may keep the user settings information in the unit. If you discard this unit either by disposal or transfer, then follow the procedure to return all the settings to the factory defaults to delete the user settings.
Accessories Check the supplied accessories before using this system. ∏ 1 AC adaptor ∏ 1 DC cable ∏ 1 LAN cable ≥ Do not use any other AC adaptors except the supplied one. ≥ The supplied DC cable is for use with this system only. Do not use it with other equipment. Also, do not use cords from other equipment with this system.
Control reference guide Top 1 Power indicator Lights up This unit is on. ≥ The unit is in the standby condition when the AC adaptor is connected. The primary circuit is always “live” as long as the AC adaptor is connected to an electrical outlet. 2 4 Blinks The WPS feature is enabled. 5 LAN1 indicator Lights up A LAN cable is connected to the LAN1 terminal. 6 LAN2 indicator Lights up A LAN cable is connected to the LAN2 terminal. 5 G indicator Blinks/Lights up The 5 GHz band (11n/a) is available.

DC * E DC cable (supplied) Check the directions of the connectors, and plug them straight in or unplug them straight out. (Otherwise the connectors may bend out of shape, which may cause malfunction.) F AC adaptor (supplied) G To power outlet The indicators (*) light up in blue after approximately 60 seconds. ≥ For the purpose of power conservation, disconnect the power supply if you will not be using it for extended period of time. Some settings will be lost after you disconnect the system.
Network settings You can stream music from a device on the network by using the Qualcomm® AllPlayTM smart media platform or DLNA feature. To use these features, this unit must join the same network as the device. Qualcomm® AllPlayTM smart media platform is a product of Qualcomm Connected Experiences, Inc. Choose a network setting method from the following.
Using the app “Panasonic Music Streaming” ≥ Do not connect a LAN cable to ALL speaker. Doing so will disable the Wi-Fi function. 1 Download and start the app “Panasonic Music Streaming” (free of charge) on your smartphone. ≥ [iOS] : App Store ≥ [Android] : Google PlayTM 2 Open the app and follow the on-screen instructions. ≥ Follow the app’s instructions to connect to your ALL speaker. The procedure splits into the paths described below along the way.
∫ Path 2: When the SH-WL30 is not detected automatically (a screen similar the one below appears) ≥ Depending on the screen size of your smartphone/tablet, you may need to scroll to the bottom for any remaining steps. Refer to “Using an Internet browser” (l 13). Configure the connection of the ALL speaker to be added to the wireless network. For details, refer to the Operating Instructions for the ALL speaker.
Using an Internet browser ≥ The following steps are based on a smartphone. 1 Turn on your ALL speaker. ≥ You may need to configure the ALL speaker manually. For details, refer to the Operating Instructions for the ALL speaker. 2 Go to Wi-Fi settings on the device. Settings Wi-Fi Settings 3 Select “AllPlay _AJ” to connect to this unit. ≥ “” stands for a character that is unique to each set. ≥ This can take up to 1 minute to appear in your Wi-Fi list.
4 Input a device name and then select “Next”. ≥ The device name will be displayed as this unit’s name on the network. ≥ The guaranteed limit is 32 characters. ≥ The device name is set when “Next” is selected. ≥ You can also change the device name after the network connection is set up. (l 17) 5 Change the network name (SSID) to “SH-WL30-5G- ” or “SH-WL30-2G- ”and input the password (Key) for this unit (refer to the bottom side of the unit).
6 Select “Connect” to apply the settings. ≥ Refer to the Operating Instructions for your ALL speaker for information on how it operates when the connection is complete. ≥ Depending on the device, the connection complete screen may not be displayed. If the network indicator does not light up, check the network name (SSID) and the password, and then try the setting again. 7 Make sure to connect your compatible device back to your home wireless network. ≥ Enable Java and cookies in your browser settings.
Using WPS (Wi-Fi Protected SetupTM) ≥ Do not connect a LAN cable to ALL speaker. Doing so will disable the Wi-Fi function. 1 Set your ALL speaker to WPS Connection mode. ≥ For details, refer to the Operating Instructions for the ALL speaker. 2 Press and hold the WPS button on this unit for at least 3 seconds. ≥ The WPS indicator blinks. The WPS indicator blinks for about 2 minutes until the connection is completed. ≥ When the connection is complete, the WPS indicator will light up for about 10 seconds.
To make network-related settings You can change this unit’s name on the network, and use specific IP address, etc. You can also change the name of this unit by changing a setting in the app “Panasonic Music Streaming” (version 3.1.0 or later) (l 11). Preparation ≥ Change the IP address settings of the device (PC, etc.) to the ones below.
Wireless Select either “2.4G” or “5G”. Basic Settings This page is used to configure the parameters for wireless LAN clients that may connect to this unit. Here you may change wireless relative settings as well as wireless network parameters. When the settings are complete, click “Apply”. ≥ The settings will be applied after you click “Refresh” and wait for a while. ≥ To reconfigure the settings, click “Back”.
Encryption This page allows you setup the wireless security. Turn on WPA2 by using encryption keys could prevent any unauthorized access to your wireless network. When the settings are complete, click “Apply”. ≥ The settings will be applied after you click “Refresh” and wait for a while. ≥ To reconfigure the settings, click “Back”. Item Description Select SSID The SSID of this unit is displayed. Select the encryption supported over wireless access from the pull down menu.
Access Control If you enable wireless access control, only those clients whose wireless MAC addresses are in the access control list will be able to connect to this unit. When this option is enabled, no wireless clients will be able to connect if the list contains no entries. When the settings are complete, click “Apply”. ≥ The settings will be applied after you click “Refresh” and wait for a while. ≥ To reconfigure the settings, click “Back”.
WPS This page allows you to change the setting for WPS (Wi-Fi Protected Setup). Using this feature could let your wireless client automically syncronize its setting and connect to the access point in a minute without any hassle. When the settings are complete, click “Start”. ≥ The settings will be applied after you click “OK” and wait for a while.
TCP/IP Settings LAN Interface This page is used to configure the parameters for local area network that connects to the LAN ports of this unit. Here you may change the setting for IP address. When the settings are complete, click “Apply”. ≥ The settings will be applied after you click “Refresh” and wait for a while. ≥ To reconfigure the settings, click “Back”. Item Description IP Address Input the IP address of LAN interfaces of this unit.
Management Status This page shows the current status and some basic settings of the device, includes system, wireless, Ethernet LAN and WAN configuration information. System Item Uptime Firmware Version Operation Mode LAN configuration Item IP Address Subnet Mask DHCP Server MAC Address Description It shows the duration since this unit is powered on. It shows the firmware version of this unit. It shows the current mode setting. Description It shows the IP address of LAN interface of this unit.
Wireless 2.4G Configuration Wireless 5G Configuration Item SSID Channel Number Encryption BSSID Associated Clients Description It shows the SSID of this unit. The SSID is the unique name of this unit and shared among its service area, so all devices attempts to join the same wireless network can identify it. It shows the wireless channel connected currently. It shows the status of encryption function. It shows the BSSID address of this unit. BSSID is a six-byte address.
Upgrade Firmware (l 28) This page allows you upgrade the firmware to new version. Please note, do not turn off the unit during the upgrade because it may crash the system. Select the firmware file, and click “Upgrade”. Item Description Firmware Version It show the current firmware version. Click the Browse button to select the new version of firmware file.
Reset Click “Reset” to restore the factory default settings. ≥ The settings will be applied after you click “OK” and wait for a while. Password When the settings are complete, click “Apply”. ≥ A login screen is displayed. Enter a new “User Name” and “Password”. Item User Name New Password Confirmed Password Description Input a user name used for authentication. (maximum 30 characters) Input a new password. (maximum 30 characters) Input the new password again for confirmation.
WPS Setting When the settings are complete, click “Apply”. This page allows you set physical WPS button connect to 2.4 G or 5 G band. ∫ Characteristics of radio wave frequency bands 5 GHz frequency band ≥ Normally not used by devices other than routers. As a result, it provides very reliable connections and stable performance. ≥ Offers faster communication speeds than the 2.4 GHz band. ≥ More sensitive to obstacles such as walls and floors than the 2.4 GHz band.
Firmware updates Panasonic may release updated software for this unit that may add or improve the way a feature operates. These updates are available free of charge. For details on the app, refer to the site below. http://panasonic.jp/support/global/cs/audio/app/ (This site is in English only.) DO NOT DISCONNECT the AC adaptor or LAN cable during the update. ≥ During the update process, no other operations can be performed.
4 Input user name and password and select “OK”. ≥ For the first time, input “admin” into the ID and password field. ≥ It may take a few minutes until the settings page is displayed depending on the environment. In that case, reload the browser. 5 Select “Management”, and then “Upgrade Firmware”. 6 Select a file in “Select File”. ≥ Select “V6OA-.frm” (“” stands for a character that is unique to each set). 7 Select “Upgrade”. ≥ After the firmware is installed, the following screen will be displayed.
Troubleshooting Before requesting service, make the following checks. If the problem remains unresolved, consult your dealer for instructions. Cannot connect to the ALL speaker. ≥ Check that this unit is on. ≥ Check that the ALL speaker is on. For details, refer to the Operating Instructions for the ALL speaker. ≥ Check to see if this unit is correctly connected to the router with the supplied LAN cable. ≥ Check that the router connected to this unit is on. ≥ Refer to “Network settings” to reconnect to the ALL speaker. (Try a different connection method.) (l 10) ≥ Change the frequency setting to 5 GHz or 2.4 GHz, and reconnect to the ALL speaker.
≥ Is the channel fixed to a particular setting by the Wi-Fi router? We recommend that you set the channel to AUTO. ≥ Is the maximum communication speed limited to a particular setting by the Wi-Fi router? If this is the case, it may not achieve optimal performance. ≥ Is there a cordless phone near this unit or the router? When placing this unit near a device that emits radio signals, leave at least 1 m distance from the device. Cannot display the web setup screen.
