Editing titles/chapters
[RAM] [-R] [-R]DL] [-RW‹V›] [+R] [+R]DL] [+RW] [-RW‹VR›]
≥The maximum number of items on a disc:
[RAM] [-R] [-R]DL] [-RW‹V›] [+R] [+R]DL] [+RW]
–Titles: 99 ([+R] [+R]DL] [+RW] 49 titles)
–Chapters: Approx. 1000 ([+R] [+R]DL] [+RW] Approx. 250)
(Depends on the state of recording.)
[Note]
≥Once deleted or partially deleted, title/chapters cannot be
restored to their original state. Make certain before
proceeding.
≥You cannot edit during recording.
≥
[+RW] You can create a Top Menu using “Create Top Menu”
(➡ 45). Recording or editing on the disc may delete the
menu. In that case, create the menu again.
≥
[+R] [+R]DL] Management information is recorded in unused
sections when you edit discs. The available space on these
discs decreases each time you edit their contents.
Preparation
≥Turn on the television and select the appropriate video
input to suit the connection to this unit.
≥Turn the unit on.
≥Press [THEATER] to switch the remote control to operate
this unit.
≥Press [DVD] to select the DVD drive.
≥Insert a disc (➡ 24).
≥
[RAM] Release disc or cartridge protection (➡ 44).
1 During play or while stopped
Press [DIRECT NAVIGATOR].
2 Press [3, 4, 2, 1] to select the title.
3 Press [SUB MENU], then press [ 3 , 4 ]
to select the operation and press
[ENTER].
≥If you select “Edit”, press [3, 4] to select the
operation and press [ENTER].
If you select “Chapter View” (➡ Step 4)
4 Press [ 3 , 4 , 2 , 1 ] to select the chapter.
To start play ➡ Press [ENTER].
To edit ➡ Step 5.
≥To show other pages/Multiple editing (➡ above)
5 Press [SUB MENU], then press [ 3 , 4 ]
to select the operation and press
[ENTER].
≥You can go back to Title View.
To return to the previous screen
Press [RETURN].
To exit the screen
Press [DIRECT NAVIGATOR].
Title/Chapter
Programmes are recorded as a single title consisting of one
chapter.
[RAM] You can divide a title into multiple chapters. Each
section between the division points becomes a chapter.
(➡ 31, 39, Create Chapter)
[RAM] You can change the order of chapters and create a
playlist (➡ 40).
≥ [-R] [-R]DL] [-RW‹V›] [+R] [+R]DL] Titles are divided into about 5-
minute (
[+R] [+R]DL] 8-minute) chapters after finalizing ( ➡ 45).
