Making the connections
Connect the AC mains lead only after all the other connections have been made.
1 Connect the DAB/FM antenna.
Be sure to tighten fully the nut.
Rotate the antenna at to improve reception.
2 Connect the speakers.
3 Connect the AC mains lead.
Do not use any other AC mains lead except the
supplied one.

A Pull on the tabs (both sides)

B Put the AC mains lead onto
one of the concave surfaces.
C Coil the AC mains lead
around the ferrite core and
onto the other concave
surface.
D Close the ferrite core until it
clicks.
Note:
Failure to attach the ferrite core
to the AC mains lead may cause
interference to other devices
nearby.

Overview of controls
Do the procedures with the remote control. You can also use the buttons on the main unit if they are the
same.
A
Standby/on switch [`], [1]
Press to switch the unit from on to standby mode or vice
versa. In standby mode, the unit is still consuming a
small amount of power.
B Select the audio source
On the main unit:
Press [SELECTOR] repeatedly to select the source:
C Basic playback control
D View the setup menu
E View the content information
F Select and confirm an option
Skip MP3 albums
G Open or close the disc tray
H Decrease the brightness of the display panel
To cancel, press the button again.
I Adjust the volume level
J Mute the sound
To cancel, press the button again.
“MUTE” is also cancelled when you adjust the volume or
when you switch off the system.
K View the play menu
L Select the sound effects
M USB port (DC 5 V 500 mA, FOR AV)
N Disc tray
Put in a disc with the label facing up.
O Select “BLUETOOTH” as the audio source
To start Bluetooth

pairing, press and hold
the button.

Distance: Within approximately 7 m
Angle: Approximately 10° up and 30°down, 30° left and

Preparing the remote control
Use alkaline or manganese battery.
Install the battery so that the poles (+ and –) align with those
in the remote control.
Play Press [4/9].
Stop Press [8].
Pause Press [4/9].
Press again to continue playback.
Skip Press [2/3] or [5/6].
Search Press and hold [2/3] or [5/6].

feature of the device and put the device near the system.

Pairing a device
1 Press and hold [– PAIRING] on the main unit until “PAIRING” is shown.
2 Select “SC-PM272” from the Bluetooth
®
menu of the device.

Connecting a device
1 Press [ ].
2 Select “SC-PM272” from the Bluetooth
®
menu of the device.
3 Start playback on the device.
FM Radio
1 Press [RADIO] repeatedly to select “FM”.
2 Press [PLAY MENU] repeatedly to select “TUNEMODE”.

] to select “MANUAL” and then press [OK].
4 Press [2/3] or [5/6 ] to tune in to the station.
To tune automatically, press and hold the button until the frequency starts changing quickly.
DAB+
1 Press [RADIO] repeatedly to select “DAB+”.
If you select “DAB+” for the first time, the system will tune automatically.
2 Press [PLAY MENU] repeatedly to select “MANUAL SCAN”.
3 Press [R, T] to select the frequency block and then press [OK].
If no station is detected, “SCAN FAILED” is shown.
Adjust the antenna and try again.
