Measure the actual distance from each of the connected speakers to the listening-viewing position and perform steps instructed in “Setting distances” (á page 31) when you cannot install speakers the same distance away.

Dolby Digital Surround EX adds a surround back channel to the traditional 5.1-channel format of Dolby Digital. This creates a sound with greater presence. DTS (including DTS-ES and DTS 96/24) This is the digital surround system developed by DTS (Digital Theater Systems, Inc.). DTS-ES adds a surround back channel to the traditional 5.1-channel format of DTS.
