Cautions when transporting zzWhen transporting the projector, be sure to attach the supplied lens cover to the projection lens. zzWhen transporting the projector, hold it securely by its bottom and avoid excessive vibration and impacts.
■■Do not tilt the projector or place it on its side. Do not tilt the projector body more than approximately ±30° vertically or ±10° horizontally. Precautions for use Important Information zzDo not install the projector in a confined space. When it is necessary to install in a confined space, use air conditioning or ventilation separately. Exhaust heat may accumulate when the ventilation is not enough, triggering the protection circuit of the projector. zzUse the adjustable feet only for the floor standing installation and for adjusting the angle. If you use it other than this purpose, the projector may be damaged.

Setting up Adjusting adjustable feet In order to make the projection screen rectangle, place the projector on a flat surface with its front surface parallel to the screen. If the screen is tilted lower, extend the adjustable feet and adjust the angle to make a rectangle screen. If the projector is tilted horizontally, also use the adjustable feet and adjust the angle to keep the projector flat.

Switching on/off Switching on/off Connecting the power cord Use the supplied power cord to prevent removal of the power cord and make sure that it is fully inserted into the projector. Confirm that the switch is on the side before connecting the power cord. For detailed power cord handling, refer to “Read this first!” ( pages 2 to 10).

Select the video for projection, and adjust appearance of the projected image. [PICTURE] menu ■■To adjust the waveform Project the brightness adjustment signal of a commercial test disk (0% (0 IRE or 7.5 IRE) - 100% (100 IRE)) and perform adjustment. 1) Adjust [FULL SCAN(Y)]/[SINGLE LINE SCAN(Y)]. zzSelect the [PICTURE] menu and press ◀▶ to adjust [BRIGHTNESS] and then [CONTRAST]. Adjusts the black level of the display signal to 0% (0 IRE or [BRIGHTNESS] 7.5 IRE).

Correct adjustment cannot be performed if standard signals are not displayed on the screen because of overscan etc., or if a signal that is less than 0% or greater than 100% is displayed on the screen. [ADVANCED MENU] You can perform more detailed adjustment in video images. 1) Press ▲▼ to select [ADVANCED MENU]. 2) Press the button. zzThe [ADVANCED MENU] screen is displayed.

[POSITION] menu [DOT CLOCK] for computer (RGB) signal input zOnly z Use this function to adjust and minimize the effect of interference caused by projection of patterns consisting of vertical stripes. The projection of the following striped pattern may cause cyclic patterns (noise). Adjust so that the amount of interference is at a minimum. [CLOCK PHASE] You can adjust to achieve an optimal image when there is a flickering image or smeared outlines. 1) Press ▲▼ to select [CLOCK PHASE].
[POSITION] menu [OVER SCAN] Use the following steps to make adjustments when text and images on the periphery of the projected image are not properly displayed. 1) Press ▲▼ to select [OVER SCAN]. 2) Press ◀▶ or press the button. zzThe [OVER SCAN] individual adjustment screen is displayed. 3) Press ◀▶ to adjust the level. Note zzThis item is not available for still image computer (RGB) signals. [ASPECT] You can switch the aspect ratio of the image. 1) Press ▲▼ to select [ASPECT].
