For countertop use: Allow 15 cm of space on the top of the oven, 10 cm at the back, 5 cm on one side, and the other side must be opened more than 40 cm. When heating food in plastic or paper containers, check the oven frequently as these types of containers ignite if overheated. If smoke is emitted or a fire occurs in the oven, press Stop/Cancel button and leave the door closed in order to stifle any flames. Disconnect the power cord, or shut off power at fuse or circuit breaker panel.
Clean the inside of the oven, door seals and door seal areas regularly. When food splatters or spilled liquids adhere to the oven walls, door seals and door seal areas wipe off with a damp cloth. Mild detergent may be used if they get very dirty. The use of harsh detergent or abrasive is not recommended. DO NOT USE COMMERCIAL OVEN CLEANERS.

Placement of your oven This oven is intended for Counter-top use only. It is not intended for built-in use or use inside a cupboard. 15 cm 5 cm 2. General guidelines Standing time Plated Meals 'ense foods e.g. meat, Macket potatoes and cakes, reTuire a STANDING TIME inside or outside of the oven after cooking, to aOOow heat to Ànish conducting to cook the centre compOeteOy. General guidelines Dish size Starting temperature FoOOow the dish sizes given in the recipes, as these affect the cooking and reheating times. A Tuantity of food spread in a bigger dish cooks and reheats more TuickOy. The coOder the food, the Oonger it takes to heat up. Food from a fridge takes Oonger to reheat than food at room temperature. Food temperature shouOd be between 5 & before cooking.
Containers to use Result &hoosing the correct container is a very important factor in deciding the success or faiOure of your cooking. ,f the dish is suitabOe for microwaving, it wiOO remain cooO, whiOst the water in the Mug wiOO begin to feeO warm. ,f the testing dish feeOs warm, do not use as it is obviousOy absorbing microwave energy. Testing Dishes for Suitability :hen unsure that a cooking container is suitabOe for use in your microwave, check by the foOOowing test 1. . .
Containers to use Plastic Wicker, wood, straw baskets Many pOastic containers are designed for microwave use, but do not use for cooking foods high in sugar or fat or for foods that reTuire Oong cooking times e.g. brown rice. OnOy use Tupperware containers if they are designed for microwave use. 'o not use MeOamine. 1ever cook in margarine cartons or yoghurt pots, as these wiOO meOt with the heat from the food. Setting the clock When the oven is Àrst plugged in ´88:88µ appears in display window. Press Timer twice. A coOon starts to bOink. Press Time Pads Enter time of day by pressing Time Pads. Use ´10 minµ pad to set the hours, and ´1 minµ and ´10 secµ pads to set the minutes. Press Timer. The coOon stops bOinking. Time of day is now Oocked into the dispOay. Notes 1. . . Using the timer The Timer can be used either before, during or after a cooking program. This feature can be used to set a standing time after cooking or to delay the start of your cooking. 1. Set desired standing time ma[ hrs 5 mins. 10 min for hours, 1 min and 10 sec for minutes . An + wiOO appear in the dispOay to denote hours. Press Start.
Multistage cooking 2 or 3 stage cooking Example: Press Micro Power pad until the power you require appears in the display. Set the cooking time. Press Micro Power pad until the power you require appears in the display. Set the cooking time. Press Start. The cooking program wiOO start and the time in the dispOay wiOO count down. Example: To cook on Simmer for 2 mintues and Defrost for 3 minutes. Press Micro Power 5 times to select simmer. Set the cooking time to 2 mins.
Chaos defrost This feature aOOows you to defrost minced meat, chops, chicken portions, meat Moints and bread. The &+AOS defrost pad shouOd be pressed to seOect the correct category and then enter in the weight of the food in grams or pounds and ounces using the appropriate pads See page 1 . Foods shouOd be pOaced in a suitabOe dish, whoOe chickens and Moints of meat shouOd be on an upturned saucer or on a rack. &hops, chicken portions and sOices of bread shouOd be pOaced in a singOe Oayer.
Chaos defrost This feature allows you to defrost bread, meat items and joints of meat automatically once you have entered in the weight of the food. Select desired program. Press Chaos Defrost once to seOect %read, twice to seOect Meat ,tems and three times to seOect Meat Joints. Program Enter the weight by pressing more/less pads. The more pad wiOO start with the minimum weight for each food. Press Start. Remember to stir or turn the food during defrosting.
Auto Sensor reheat /cook programs This feature aOOows you to cook or reheat foods without entering the weight. The buiOt in sensor measures the humidity of the food and caOcuOates the recommended microwave power OeveO together with a suggested cooking time. How it works Once the food has been seOected and the start pad pressed the food is heated up. As food begins to get hot, steam is emitted. :hen the food reaches a certain temperature and begins to cook, an even greater amount of steam is reOeased.
Auto Sensor reheat /cook programs Guidelines for Use For the Auto Sensor Programs it is not necessary to enter the weight of the food. They must O1LY be used for foods described. 1.
