Troubleshooting
If
you still have difficulties after following the instructions in this section, disconnect the base unit’s
AC adaptor, then reconnect the base unit’s AC adaptor. Remove the batteries from the handset,
and then insert the batteries into the handset again.
General use
Problem Cause/solution
The handset does not turn on
eve
n after installing charged
batteries.
R Place the handset on the base unit or charger to turn on
the handset.
The unit does not work. R Make sure the batteries are installed correctly (page 9).
R Fu
lly charge the batteries (page 10).
R Check the connections (page 9).
R Unplug the base unit’s AC adaptor to reset the unit.
Reconnect the adaptor and try again.
R The handset has not been registered to the base unit.
Register the handset (page 24).
I cannot hear a dial tone. R The base unit’s AC adaptor or telephone line cord is not
co
nnected. Check the connections.
R Disconnect the base unit from the telephone line and
connect the line to a known working telephone. If the
working telephone operates properly, contact our service
personnel to have the unit repaired. If the working
telephone does not operate properly, contact your service
provider/telephone company.

R Change the display language (page 12).
I cannot register a handset to a
bas
e unit.
R The maximum number of handsets (6) is already
registered to the base unit. Cancel unused handset
registrations from the base unit (page 24).
Battery recharge
Problem Cause/solution
The handset beeps and/or
flashes.

attery charge is low. Fully charge the batteries (page 10).
