Your phone comes from factory is set to OFF. Before using the Dial Lock or Call Restriction feature (p. 40), we recommend storing emergency numbers in the memory of Direct Dial buttons (p. 32) and Phonebook (p. 26) as emergency numbers (#). Even if the dialing buttons are locked, the numbers stored in these buttons can be dialed.

Please use only a Panasonic KX-TCA89EX. Connecting the Optional Headset to the Unit Connect the optional headset to the headset jack as shown below.

The unit does not ring. • The ringer selector is set to OFF. Set to HIGH or LOW (p. 13). The display is blank. • Install new batteries (p. 43). You cannot dial. • Dial lock mode is set.

You cannot store a name and phone number in memory. • Programming is not possible when the handset is off the cradle or the Speakerphone/headset [s/W] indicator lights. • Check that the batteries are installed in the unit and that the battery power is not low. • Do not pause for over 60 seconds while storing.
