Initial Menu This tool enables you to program the KX-TD208 and save the programming to your disk. 1. System Data in the KX-TD208 To program the KX-TD208. First load the PC with System Data in the KX-TD208, then you can program. Next load the data into the KX-TD208 and save the data to a file on disk. 2. System Data in the file on disk To program the disk-filed system data of KX-TD208. First the file must be loaded from disk to the PC memory, then you can program.
Before you begin [File] These files will be used or created by this program. TD208.EXE ; Executable File - this program In order to run this program, enter "TD208" after changing to the directory where this file exists. Enter "TD208/MONO" for monochrome display. XXXXXXXX.DBE; The system programming data XXXXXXXX.DBA; ASCII character file of the system data. You can print this file on a printer. P208.PRT ; When you press[Alt]+[P], the displayed screen will be saved into the file "P208.PRT".
Before you begin 2 Entering The cursor is displayed as an underline in a field. A message "Enter........" appears. 3. Move the cursor You can use the TAB key, the ENTER key, or the cursor keys to move the cursor to the next or the previous item. TAB key: Moves the cursor to the next item. SHIFT+TAB: Moves the cursor to the previous item. ENTER key: Moves the cursor to the next item. Up key: Moves the cursor to the upper or previous item. Down key: Moves the cursor to the lower or next item.
Before you begin 5.Function keys F4(HELP): Explains how to change parameters. F5(P-PAGE): Returns to the previous page. F6(N-PAGE): Advances to the next page. F7(SAVE): Saves the data displayed on the screen. F8(EXIT): Returns to the menu screen.
Programming the System Data in KX-TD208 Assigns the communication parameters of the RS-232C connection. (1) Before assigning parameters, connect the KX-TD208 to COM 1 or 2 of the PC using an RS-232C cable. (2) If you want to change parameters, use the TAB key, the cursor keys or the ENTER key to move the cursor.
Programming the System Data in the file on Disk (1) Enter the drive letter and directory. Press the ENTER key. (2) Press the F8(EXIT) key to return to the initial screen. (3) File names are displayed when the file extensions of them are ".DBE" and ".DBA". The files whose file extensions are ".DBA" are ASCII files for printing. System Data Save Menu 1. Save to the KX-TD208 -To save the programmed system data to the KX-TD208. 2. Save to your Disk File -To save the programmed system data to your disk file. 3. Back to "Main Menu" -To go back to "System Data Programming Main Menu". 4. Exit to "Initial Menu" -To exit to "Initial Menu".

Enter a comment and press the ENTER key. 3 A message "Now saving system data" appears and saving starts. 4 When it is completed, a message "System data saving completed" appears. 5 If you want to change the Directory, press the TAB key.
