Operating instructions

You can store up to 70 names and phone numbers in the phonebook. All phonebook items are sorted
by the first word in alphabetical order. Using the phonebook, you can make a call by selecting a name
on the display.
You can also select a separate ring tone for items by setting “Private ring” during storing. “Private ring”
will sound after the first ring when a caller ID call is being received.
When you receive a Caller ID call from a caller stored in the phonebook, the display will show the
caller’s name and phone number (—Private name display) (p. 29).
Storing Names and Numbers in the Phonebook
Make sure that the power is ON (p. 14) and the unit is in the stand-by mode.

Using the Phonebook
1 Press .
2 Press G or F until the arrow points to
“New Phonebook”.
3 Press OKH.
•The display shows the number of
remaining phonebook items, then
“<Enter Name>”.

4 Enter a name, up to 16 characters with
the dialling buttons, , or .
•See the steps for entering names and
symbols on page 35.
5 Press OKH or G.
F
6 Enter a phone number, up to 24 digits.
•If you misdial, press I. Digits are erased
from the right. To erase all digits,
press I firmly.
7 Press OKH.
8 Press G or F to select private ring ON
or OFF, then press
OKH.
•When set to ON, “ ” will be displayed.
9 While“Save” is at thearrow,press OKH.
•Aconfirmation tone sounds and “Saved”
is displayed.
•The display will return to “<Enter
Name>”. You can continue storing other
items.
•To return to the stand-by mode, press
or wait for 60 seconds.

•If a pause is required for dialling, press
then
OKH to select “Pause” in step 6.
Apause can be stored in a phone number
counting as one digit (p. 39).
•You can exit the programming mode any time
by pressing .
•If the displayshows“Memory Full” in step
3, the display will return to the stand-by mode.
Clear other stored items in the phonebook
(p. 37).
•If your line has rotary or pulse service, any
access numbers stored after pressing
