Make sure that the power is ON (p. 14), otherwise the handset will not ring.
If you subscribe to a Caller ID service, the calling party information will be displayed after the first ring
(p. 29). In order to view the Caller ID information, please wait until the second ring to answer a call.

To turn the handset ringer off
temporarily
When the handset starts ringing, press G
firmly.
•“Ringer Off” is displayed and the handset
stops ringing.
•The ringer will turn back on for the next call.
•This function will not work when the handset is
on the base unit.
Answering Calls
1 Press .
•You can also answer a call by pressing any
dialling button to , or
(—Any Key Talk).
2 To hang up, press or place the
handset on the base unit.

Auto talk
If you set the Auto Talk feature to ON (p. 18),
you can answer a call by lifting the handset off
the base unit without pressing .
•The handset and base unit will not ring if both
ringer volumes are set to OFF (p. 16, 17).
Backlit LCD display
The lighted display will stay on for about
10 seconds after pressing a handset button or
lifting the handset off the base unit.
