Setting the Password
On the handset
You can program a 4-digit password.The factory preset is 0000.Changing the password may prevent
the unauthorised use of your unit by another person.
You need to enter this password when using the following functions:
Setting the call prohibition (p.37)
Clearing the settings in handset memory (p.42)
Cancelling a base unit (p.47)
1 Press .
2 Press G or F until the arrow points to
Program”.
3 Press OKH.
4 Press G or F until the arrow points to
Change Hset PIN”.
5 Press OKH.
6 Enter the current handset password.
The factory preset is 0000.

7 Enter the new 4-digit password TWICE.
If you misdial, press I.Digits are erased
from the right.To erase all digits, press I
firmly.
If 5 beeps sound in step 6, the entered
password is incorrect.Enter the correct
password.
You can exit the programming mode any time
by pressing .
C
Once you have programmed the password,
you cannot confirm it.We recommend you
write down the password.If you forget it,
please consult your nearest Panasonic
Service Centre.
A confirmation tone sounds.
The display will return to “Change
Hset PIN”.To return to the stand-by
mode, press or wait for 60 seconds.
