7) Press Enter. The current IP address assigned to the KX-P8420 is displayed.
8) Use the 5 and 3 to change the IP address to the desired address. Start from the
rightmost digit and work your way left. 5 will increase the digit over the cursor, 3
will shift the cursor one digit to the left.
9) Press Enter and “Ethernet Subnet Mask” is displayed.
10) Press Enter and the current Subnet mask assigned to the KX-P8420 is displayed.
11) Use the 5 and 3 to change the Subnet mask to the desired Subnet mask. Start
from the rightmost digit and work your way left. 5 will increase the digit over the
cursor, 3 will shift the cursor one digit to the left.
12) Press Enter and “Gateway Address” is displayed.
13) Press Enter and the current Gateway address is displayed.
14) Use the 5 and 3 to change the Gateway to the desired Gateway. Start from the
rightmost digit and work your way left. 5 will increase the digit over the cursor,
3will shift the cursor one digit to the left.
15) Press Enter and “AppleTalk Setup” is displayed.
16) Press 5 one time and “IPX/SPX Setup” is displayed.
17) Press Enter and “Enable IPX/SPX?” is displayed.
18) Press Enter and “No” is displayed.
19) Press 5 one time to change “No” to “Yes”.
20) Press Enter and “Initializing Network” is displayed for a short time. Afterwards the
KX-P8420 will reinitialize and return to a Ready state. The KX-P8420 is now setup
with TCP\IP and IPX\SPX enabled, supporting 802.2, 802.3, Ethernet II and Ethernet
SNAP frame types. Both Bindery and NDS are also enabled.

1) Run Pconsole.exe located in the public directory of the SYS volume on the NetWare
server.
