Options
The following section explains how to install a 32 or 64 MB DRAM SIMM on the KX-P7500 Series.
To install the SIMM you will need to do the following:
• Remove the printer cover from the right of the printer. See page 136.
• Install a SIMM in the empty SIMM slot on the printer controller board or replace a SIMM.
• Replace the printer cover. See page 140.
IMPORTANT
• To prevent static electricity damage to certain components (see page 136), touch a grounded
metal surface, such as the printer’s bare metal frame prior to touching the component.
NOTE
• The SDRAM does not be supported.
CAUTION
• Do not drop or bend the SIMM.
• Do not touch the connector edge of the SIMM.
• Protect the SIMM from static electricity by keeping it in its antistatic package until you are ready to
install it.
• Avoid exposing the SIMM to direct sunlight, high temperatures, or humidity.
