Receiving Faxes
Fax/Copy
This setting determines the number of rings before the unit answers a call in the FAX ONLY mode.
You can choose from 1 to 4 rings.
Helpful hints:

To answer a call before the unit does, increase the number of rings.
●
If you have difficulty receiving faxes, the other parties may have tried to send faxes before confirming if your
unit answered or not. Decrease the number of rings.

FAX ONLY mode ring count
If you have a telephone line just for receiving faxes, we recommend the
following setup.
Line 1 – Voice calls
Line 2 – Fax calls
Only a fax machine
is connected.
Example: One telephone line is used for voice calls and a separate telephone line for faxes. If someone
sends a fax to Line 2, the fax machine will ring.
