Location of Installation Make sure that copier is installed in a spacious or well ventilated room so as not 1o increase density of ozone in the alr. Since ozone is heavier than air, it is recommended that air at floor level be ventilated. Important In the event of an alternative plug fitting being required, the plug must be cut off and safety disposed of in case it is inserted into a live socket.

To Make Full Size Copies 4. Install the Paper Cassette into the Copier. The Panasonic PF-820 gives you the ability to copy onto A5 — A4 and Foolscap size paper via the Paper Cassette and A6 — A4 and Foolscap 5. Select the number of copies desired, pressing the paper can be manually fed through the Sheet By Pass. Follow these correct keys on the Control Panel. Press and hold plus key to instructions for copying: scroll up until you have reached the number of copies desired.
{2) To use the Sheet Bypass The Sheet Bypass on the PF-820 serves as a convenient second paper source. A single sheet, from A8* to A4, can be reliably fed. The Bypass also permits fast double-sided copying and allows you to quickly insert various size papers without cassette removal. Follow these instructions for proper operation. 1. Adjust the side guides, if necessary. 2. Insert copy paper, one sheet at a time, until it stops into the Sheet Bypass. The Copley will automatically feed the paper.
To Reduce or Enlarge Copies The PF-820 offers 2 per-set reduction and 1 per-set enlargement copy ratios capable of satisfying most requirements. The instructions that follow and the original positioning guide under the platen grass make accessing these ratios quick and easy. To Copy in a Second Co lour The PF-820 can copy in red, blue, green or brown besides black, when the optional Co lour Copy Module of your second choice is instated. 1. How to change the Copy Module. ® Move the Platen Caver fo the right until it stops. Open the Front Panel, push the Release Button down to open the Clam shell Unit. Follow the steps in the preceding section to change the Copy Module. 5. Place your second original for red copying face down on the Platen in the same position of the first original. 6. Re-insert your black copy face up in the Sheet Bypass, and in the same direction in which it exited the Copier.
(3) Double-sided Copying In order io receive your copies double-sided. We recommend that you follow these steps. 1. Place the original that you wish 1o be side two (back side) on the Platen with the heading towards the left of the Copier. Select the number of copies desired, and the Copy Density setting if necessary. 3. Press Print. 4. Remove copies from the Exit Tray. Place copies face down in the Paper Cassette with the heading towards the left of the Copier.
To Replace the Copy Module The Copy Modules utilized in the PF-820 have a limited life. As a guide, the time to replace the Copy Module is when the Co lour Indicator of the Module is red. To inspect this, open the Toner Check Window on the Front Panel. Co lour Indicator Green: Adequate goner available, Yellow: Prepare new module. Red: Replace the module. t The replacement procedure of the Copy Module is different between the Black Mauled and Co lour Copy Modules.
5. Pull hard on the tab, while holding the Copy Module so that it cannot move out of the Copier. 6. Remove the User Unit Cleaner by moving it 1o the left and replace it with new one. Lock the new Cleaner by sliding it to the right. NOTE: If the User Roller is direly, turn the Power Switch off and clean the Roller with a dry clean cloth after the Copley has cooled down. User Unit Cleaner 7. Close the Clam shell Unit and the Front Panel firmly to #ts proper operating position.
5. Remove the Module from the Copier again. Hold the Module level and turn it in the direction of the arrows 5-6 times. 6. Shake the Module lightly 2-3 times with the handle on the bottom side. Then shake again with the handle on the top side. 13 7. Re-install the Module into the Copier. Set the Copy Density Control to the center position and Mods Selector to normal, then meek a copy using the “The Original for Co lour Test Copying”.
To Remove a Paper Misdeed The Paper Misdeed Indicator 84 wolf illuminate if a misdeed has occurred. Follow these instructions for quick and easy misdeed removal.
