Lid Lock Release Temperature Test
Because the drum interior becomes extremely
hot during use, a serious accident could
occur if the lid were to open while any inter ior
parts that could be touched were still hot.
In order to prevent this, the lid lock is designed
to stay locked when the temperature in
the drum exceeds approximately 60°C.
Using a thermistor, this test confirms that
the lock function operates properly under
the designed temperature conditions.
Erroneous Button Operation Test
To confirm that pressing does not cause
erroneous activation of any buttons,
pressure is applied to locations between
buttons on the control panel.
Test-Finger Test In order
to completely eliminate the
possibility of unexpected
injuries while using the
washing machine, Panasonic
carefully checks the external
parts using mock fingers.
This test makes sure that
fingers will not be pinched
in door gaps when opening
or closing the door, and that
fingers will not be cut by
panel edges. Both adult and
child-size mock fingers are
used from the perspective
of Universal Design.
Safety
All edges of metal parts that may
come into contact with the hands
are curved in order to prevent
possible injury.
