Washing machines are often subjected to minor accidents
in everyday use. For example, a heavy basket full of laundry
might fall onto the top of the machine, or a ball thrown by a
child might hit the door. The machine must be tough enough
to keep operating without malfunctioning or breaking, even
when things like these occur. Panasonic sees toughness as a
fundamental design requirement.
