7.3.10 Margin feature

You can set the unit not to copy a particular edge of the document to make a margin. This is useful for binding

the copied documents.

1. Set the original.

For 2-line LCD models ( ):

1. /COPY /PAGE LAYOUT (repeatedly): "MARGIN"

2. Select "ON". OK/SET

3. Select the desired page layout. OK/SET

4. Select the edge you want to set the margin for. OK/SET

5. Enter margin width using the dial keypad. OK/SET

For touch panel models ( ):

1. Display "Settings" screen (page 86). "MARGIN"

2. "MARGIN" "ON"

3. "ORIENTATION" Select the desired page layout.

4. "SIDE" Select the edge you want to set the margin for.

5. "MARGIN" Select margin width. "OK" "OK"

3. If necessary, enter the number of documents (up to 99).

4. /START

• After you finish copying, press : /STOP / : to reset this feature.

• To automatically reduce the copies according to the set margin, see feature #474.

• This feature and page layout features cannot be used at the same time.

• You can hold the previous margin setting (feature #475).
