7.3.3 Collate copy
The unit can collate multiple copies in the same order as the original document pages.
Example: Making 2 copies of a 4-page original document

1. Set the original.

: /COPY : "COLLATE"
: Display "Settings" screen (page 86). "COLLATE"
3. Select "ON" : OK/SET / :
4. Enter the number of copies (up to 99).
5. /START
When using the scanner glass, scan the 1st page.
: To scan the next page, place the document and press OK/SET . Repeat this until all the
documents are scanned, then press /START .
: To scan the next page, place the document and press "Scan". Repeat this until all the documents
are scanned, then press "Print".
Note
• After you finish copying, press
: /STOP / : to reset this feature.
• The unit will store the documents into memory at a reduced resolution while collating the copies. If the
memory becomes full while storing, the unit will only print out the stored pages.
• You can hold the previous collate setting (feature #469).
Proof set feature (automatic document feeder only) ( )
If you activate this feature, the unit will make 1 set of a collated copy and stop temporarily so you can check
whether the copy was made as you expected.

Set the original.

Select "PROOF SET" : OK/SET / :
4.
Enter the number of copies (up to 99).
5.
/START
• The unit will make 1 set of a collated copy.
6.
If the copy is correct, press : /START / : "Continue" to continue copying.
If the copy is not correct, press
: /STOP / : "Cancel" and start again from the
beginning.
