8.4.1 Various settings for sending faxes
To select the contrast
Adjust this setting depending on the darkness or lightness of the document. 5 levels (low to high) are available.
1.
: /FAX /QUALITY (repeatedly): "CONTRAST"
: Display "CONTRAST" screen (page 105).
2.
Change the contrast. : OK/SET / : "OK"
To select the resolution
1.
: /FAX /QUALITY (repeatedly): "RESOLUTION"
: Display "RESOLUTION" screen (page 105).

Select the resolution. OK/SET

• If you select "FINE", "SUPER FINE" or "PHOTO" resolution, transmission time will increase.

To select the duplex setting
You can send 2-sided originals using the automatic document feeder.
1. : /DUPLEX
: Display "DUPLEX" screen (page 105).
2. Select the desired binding of the original.

8.4.2 Selecting the destination from stored items
Store the desired names and telephone numbers into the address book beforehand (page 62).
Using address book
1.
: /FAX
: Display "ADDRESS BOOK" screen (page 105).
2. Select the desired item.
Note
• If the LDAP setting is activated beforehand (page 131), select "LDAP SEARCH" or "ADDRESS BOOK".

For LDAP search, enter the name using the dial keypad (up to 11 characters), then press :

8.4.3 Reserving the fax transmission (Dual Access)
You can reserve a fax transmission even when the unit is receiving a fax or sending a fax from memory.
– Up to 10 reservations when sending
– Up to 11 reservations when receiving
