7.3.11 Sorting copies by rotation
You can sort output into sets of documents (collated) or into sets of pages (uncollated).
Important
• Make sure of the following when setting recording paper into trays:
– Recording paper should set in portrait orientation for one paper tray, and in landscape orientation
for another paper tray.
– The paper set in each tray for this feature should be the same paper size and type.

Important
• Make sure that the paper size of the multi-purpose tray (feature #381) is set to the same as the
document size beforehand.
1. Set the document as described below.
• Make sure to align the document with the corner where the mark is located.
2. Select the size of the original and "#2" for input tray from the copy size settings.
3. If necessary, change the resolution and contrast according to the type of document.
• To select the contrast, see page 87.
• To select the resolution, see page 87.
4. If necessary, enter the number of copies (up to 99).
5. Press
/START to scan the upper half.
6. Rotate the document 180 degrees to scan the bottom half.
