R When using the unit for the first time, please use the starter toner cartridge. Caution: R Read the following instructions before you begin installation. To enable these features, you need to set the IP address, subnet mask, and default gateway in the unit. Important: R Consult your network administrator when setting the IP address, subnet mask, and default gateway. 3.6.

Caution for the standard input tray R Do not drop the standard input tray. R Hold the standard input tray with both hands when removing or installing. The standard input tray weighs approximately 3.6 kg when fully loaded with recording paper. Note: R If the paper is not loaded correctly, re-adjust the paper guides, or the paper may jam.

R Please make sure that the pickup lever (A) is firmly raised when setting the recording paper. If the pickup lever is not raised, raise the pickup lever. A 2. Adjust the width of the guides (A) to the size of the recording paper. Then, load the paper, print-side up (up to 50 sheets). A Note: R If the paper is not inserted correctly, re-adjust the paper, or the paper may jam.

R If the document exceeds the memory capacity, sending will be cancelled.
9. Fax Note: R Make sure feature #404 is set to “TEL” beforehand (page 80). How to receive phone calls and faxes You have to answer all calls manually. To receive a fax document, press MxN and then M2N. 9.4.3 Use as a telephone and/or fax (TEL/FAX mode) Your situation You want to answer phone calls yourself and receive faxes automatically without the unit ringing. 9.5 Receiving a fax automatically : Auto answer ON 9.5.1 Activating FAX ONLY mode Press MvN (G) repeatedly to display “FAX ONLY MODE”.
