If you need help
Unit not functioning.
The unit automatically switches
to standby.

Check the connection to the power supply.
The unit is malfunctioning.
The numbers following H, U or F indicate the status of the unit.
The disc cannot be
ejected.

With the unit switched off, press STOP and CH at the same time on
the unit and hold for about 5 seconds. Contact your dealer.

Switch the unit to Standby mode with .
If the unit does not switch to Standby mode, press for approx. 10 seconds or
unplug it for a minute and then plug it back in again.

Press to switch the unit on. If this does not solve the problem, contact customer
service stating the displayed error code.

The unit is in Standby mode for a Timer programming via external units.
The display shows EXT-L. 47

Press EXT LINK to switch off recording standby mode.

The above procedure is not possible if the child protection feature is activated. 6

Switch the child protection feature off.
Should problems occur, please try to resolve them by referring to the error sources
described here.
If this does not help, please contact your dealer or customer service.
Normal disc rotation sounds, atmospheric interference during reception, picture
interference during fast forwarding and limited reception of the satellite programmes
are not signs of a defective unit.

The unit is currently recording. Stop the recording.
You have forgotten your
security level password.

Select the DVD drive and with the disc tray open, press and hold
REC and x1.3 at the same time on the unit for min. 5 seconds.
HDD
Problems in using the
hard disk.

Store the entire contents to another medium (disc).
î
Please contact the customer service with your unit.
Recordings on a damaged hard disk cannot be rescued.
Error code U50

Short circuit in the satellite input. Check the satellite system.dish
î
The unit is hot and switches to Standby mode for safety reasons.
Wait for about 30 minutes until the message disappears. Place the unit in a well
ventilated location. Do not block the vents at the back of the unit.

The unit has found an error during recording or playback of an inserted disc. The
unit proceeds with the recovery procedure. This procedure restores the normal
operating mode. The unit is not defect. Please wait until the message goes off.
î
The connected unit is not suitable for connection to HDMI.
î
The HDMI connection is not working perfectly.
î
The HDMI cable is too long. Use cable that is max. 5 m long.
î
The HDMI cable is broken.
î
A problem occurred during recording or playback of a disc. The unit is not
defective, but is performing a restore procedure. Wait until the error message
disappears from the display.

The unit is not functioning properly.

Switch the unit off and back on again.
If this still does not solve the problem, contact customer service.

One of the unit’s safety devices may have been activated.
