Recording of TV programmes

Select the station with CH or with the number buttons.

Press REC to start a recording.
Pause the recording

Press PAUSE to pause the recording.

Press PAUSE again or REC to resume recording. The title is not
divided.
DVD: Insert a disc.
If you activated write protection, cancel it. 68
Recording
Delayed playback during recording
While recording a programme, you can start playback after a delay.
At least 2 seconds must have elapsed since the recording started.

Press PLAY while recording or during a Timer Recording.
!
Press STOP to stop playback.
!
To finish the recording, press STOP again after 2 seconds.
Stop a Timer Recording in the submenu.
Select the drive DVD or HDD before the recording.
Stop recording

Press STOP to stop recording.
After the recording is complete, it takes some time for the unit to
process the unit control information.
HDD: If you want to record a title to hard disk and copy it in High Speed mode at a
later date, select [Rec for High Speed Copy - On] in the Setup menu before the
recording. 61

With the [EP ( 8Hours )] setting, playback on DVD-RAM compatible
DVD players may not be possible under certain circumstances.
Select [EP ( 6Hours )].
Changing the recording mode

Press REC MODE in PAUSE or STOP mode.
Each time the button is pressed, you change between SP, LP, EP and
XP. The material is recorded as a separate title with each switch.

Direct TV recording with Q Link
You can record a current TV programme directly without needing any
other settings.

Press DIRECT TV REC for 3 seconds.
The recording begins.

Press STOP to stop the recording.

Press REC to start recording.
Press STOP to stop recording.
If you resume recording with REC, a new title will be created.

Select the recording mode with REC MODE.
EP: Select the recording for 6 or 8 hours in the Setup menu. 61
XP: Select the audio mode [Dolby Digital] or [LPCM] for the recording in
the Setup menu. 63
