Turn the television on and select the corresponding AV channel.
!
Turn the DVD Recorder on.
!
Press OPEN/CLOSE on the unit to open the disc tray.
!
Place a disc in the disc tray and close it.
It may take some time to read the disc!
Selecting a title with the number buttons
!
During the playback, select the required title, chapter or track with the number
buttons and confirm with OK.
!
For VCD, select the number of the title with the number buttons.
!
For DVD-V, select a title with or with the number buttons and confirm with OK.
If appears on the screen, the procedure is prevented by the unit or disc.
To see the disc menu again, use the following buttons:
DVD-V: OPTION, VCD: RETURN
Playback starts automatically
Playback always starts at the beginning of the disc. If the disc has its own disc menu,
then it is displayed. Operation of the disc menu depends on the inserted disc.

Starting playback from the DIRECT NAVIGATOR
The DIRECT NAVIGATOR button can be used to display the menu
during playback, recording and in the STOP mode.
!
Press DIRECT NAVIGATOR.
Use the colour buttons to change between the Title View and Album View.
!
Select the required title with and confirm with OK.
Playback starts.
!
Press RETURN or EXIT to leave the menu.
You can select other pages with SKIP [Previous] or [Next].

Press PLAY to start playback.
Playback begins with the last recorded title.
Disc playback stops when a Timer Recording
starts.

The playback is stopped, you can now see the television picture again.

For DVD-V, VCD and CD, press STOP twice to return to the
television picture.

Press PAUSE to pause playback.

If the disc cannot be read because it was written on another
unit, the display asks whether to format the disc.

Select [No] with and confirm with OK.
Formatting deletes all data saved on the disc. 68
