Timer recording
You can make timer recording of the current or
next programme.
1 While watching a programme
Press [STATUS ].
3 Press the yellow button.
4 Go to step 3 on page 37, “Manually
programming timer recording”.

2 Display the channel information of a
programme to record.
• Switch the programme with [2, 1].
• Switch the channel with [3, 4].

Notes on timer recording
• You can enter up to 32 programmes within a
month in advance. (Each daily or weekly
programme is counted as one programme.)
• When the programme recorded in DR mode is
converted, the audio content and subtitle
language will be selected according to the
following settings:
- “Multi Audio” of “Preferred Language” (> 87)
- “Subtitles” of “Preferred Language” (> 87)
- Audio for HG / HX / HE / HL / HM Recording
(> 93)
• When the programme recorded in DR mode is
converted, teletext will not be recorded.
• (Only when recording broadcast in other than
DR mode)
This unit will record in the DR mode once, and
then convert to the selected mode automatically
during standby. If the title has not been
decrypted, conversion will start after decryption.
• Even if you switch the unit to standby mode
during the timer recording, the recording is
continued.
• When you programme successive timer
recordings to start, about last 1 minute of earlier
programme will not be recorded.
• Timer recording will not start while:
- copying a title in high speed mode [with
finalising or creating Top Menu ([+RW ])]
- copying a title in normal speed mode
- converting a title in “File Conversion” (Only
when “Now” is selected)
- copying HD Video (AVCHD) from USB device
or SD card
- copying photos/music
- formatting
- finalising/creating Top Menu
• When “Pure Sound mode” is activated, timer
recording does not start during playback of
BD-Video, DVD-Video or music CD. (> 89)

2 Select the programme, then press [OK].
3 Select “View”, then press [OK].

To view a programme list for another day
Press the green button (Previous) or the yellow
button (Next).
To see programme information
Press [STATUS ].
To retrieve the programme data for the area
where data have not been acquired
Select the area, then press [STATUS ].
• Some broadcasters may not send the
programme data. You cannot retrieve the data
from them.
To set a timer Recording using the TV Guide
System
Refer to “Timer recording”. (> 35)
• If you make access to Rovi Guide via VIERA Connect, you
can use an additional TV Guide which can search
programmes by keywords and can display the detailed
information, etc. (current as of July, 2012). (> 77)
While watching a programme
Press [STATUS ].
Channel information appears.
1 Current Category
2 Encrypted broadcast
3 Set timer (> 37)
4 Subtitle
5 Teletext
6 Multiple audio/Sub Channel
7 Data service (Hybrid Broadcast Broadband
TV) (> 29)
To show detailed information
Press [STATUS ] again.
To hide the information screen
Press [EXIT ].
To switch between the current programme
and the next programme
Press [2, 1].
To switch to another channel
Press [3, 4], then press [OK].

Denne enhed vil optage i DR-tilstand én gang,
og derefter konvertere til den valgte indstilling
automatisk under standby. Hvis titlen ikke har
været dekrypterede, vil konvertering starte efter
dekryptering.
• Selv hvis du sætter apparatet i standby under
timeroptagelse, vil optagelsen fortsatte.
• Når du har programmerer en successive timer
optagelser der starter hvor tidligere timer pro-
gram slutter, vil lidt af det sidste minut, fra det
tidligere programmet ikke blive optaget.
• Timer-optagelse starter ikke mens:
- Kopiering af en titel i high speed mode [med
finalising eller oprettese af Top Menu (
+ RW )]
- Kopiering af en titel i normal speed mode
- Konvertering af en titel i “File Conversion”
(Kun når “Now” er valgt)
- Kopiering af HD Video (AVCHD) fra USB-
enhed eller SD-kort
- Kopiering af billeder / musik
