The camera’s waterproof and dustproof performance complies with IPX8 and IP6X. Camera care and the waterproof performance To prevent water from entering the camera, be sure to observe the following before use. ■■Do not open or close the card/battery door or terminal cover in sandy or dusty locations, while close to water, or with wet hands. When the camera is used in the locations described above, sand or dust may enter through the gaps of the card/battery door or terminal cover and adhere to the camera without you knowing.

Charging the battery ■■About batteries that you can use with this unit Connect the charger to the electrical outlet The battery that can be used with this unit is DMW-BCH7E. It has been found that counterfeit battery packs which look very similar to the genuine products are made available to purchase in some markets. Some of these battery packs are not adequately protected with internal protection to meet the requirements of appropriate safety standards.
