Formatting the Card
Usually, it is not necessary to format the
card (initializing). Format the card when
this message is displayed [ MEMORY
CARD ERROR ] .
[Preparation]
• Set the playback [ ]/power switch to
[ON].

Press the [ ] button.

Press 3/4 to select [FORMAT] and
then press
1 .

Press 2/1 to select [FORMAT].

Press the [REVIEW/SET] button.
• The card is formatted.
• After formatting, recorded images
and any other data cannot be
recovered.
• When the card is formatted by PC or other equipments, format the card on the
camera again.
• During formatting, do not turn the power off. (Do not open the memory card/
battery door)
• If the card cannot be formatted, consult the dealer.
