5.9 Synchronous serial interface cable
5.9.1 Introduction
Every 4SAE interface is 28-core connectors. One end is the DB28 connector to connect with
the router, and the other end differs according to the network segment. Both are 3 m in length.
The synchronous serial port cable consists of the following types:

V.24 (EIA/TIA-232 DTE cable: DB-25 (male) plug at the network end
z
V.24 (EIA/TIA-232) DCE cable: DB-25 (female) receptacle at the network end
z
V.35 DTE cable: 34PIN (male) plug at the network end
z
V.35 DCE cable: 34PIN (female) receptacle at the network end
