34 Preliminary Check
In this FOMA terminal, you may enter characters by tapping the
character entry field and using the keypad displayed. You may
select from the 2 keypad types below:
10-key pad
Used for Japanese Kana input.
QWERTY keypad
Used for alphabet input.

Tap the text entry field W Long-touch in the
keypad

[10-key QWERTY]
Q To close the keypad, press xC.

You may enter smiley in fields compatible with pictogram.

Press this key to display the currently-used entry mode.
: Hiragana-Kanji : Half-width Alphabet
: Full-width Katakana : Full-width Numeric

Custom key
Press this key to customize the keypad (zZ page 36).
3 Undo key Press this key to display characters in reverse.
Characters returns to unconverted state.
4 Input select
key 1
Alphabet/numeric/Kana input modes are switched
each time the key is tapped.
Long-touch W Tap [Input Mode] to switch Full-
width/Half-width.
5 Input select
key 2
Smiley/symbol/Kana input modes are switched
each time the key is tapped.
6 Character
input keys
Press these keys to enter characters indicated on
the keys.
Keep touching a character input key and flick to
desired character.
7 Delete key Press this key to delete a character at the left of the
cursor.
8 Cursor key Press this key to move the cursor in 4 directions.
9 Space key When this key is pressed with no character entered,
a space is inserted.
Or press this key to display conversion candidates.
0 End-of-line
key
Press this key to confirm entered characters or feed
a new line.
