Get heated during
operations or
charging
Q Though long-time operations, charging or
1Seg watching during charging may heat the
FOMA terminal, battery pack and/or AC
adapter cable, this poses no safety hazard (zZ
page 13, page 14, and page 23).
Short battery
uptime
Q Ensure that the device is not left out of service
area for a long time.
While being out of service area, the device
consumes more power to detect radio wave to
establish communication (zZ page 133).
Q Battery pack uptime varies depending on use
environment and degree of deterioration (zZ
page 133).
Q Battery pack is consumable. Uptime is
gradually decreased with repeated charging. If
you notice the uptime of fully-charged battery
has been substantially decreased since
purchase, please purchase a specified battery
pack (zZ page 23).
Unwanted
shutdown and
reboot
Q Poor contact due to dirt on battery pack
terminal may cause shutdown. Wipe off the
battery pack terminal to remove any dirt with
dry cotton bud (zZ page 13).
Not respond to
tapping the touch-
screen/button
Q Check that the device is not in sleep mode.
To disable the sleep mode, press wD or xB
(zZ page 24).
Q Reboot the device (zZ page 24).
Call
Delayed response
to tapping the
touch-screen/
button
Q The symptom is likely to occur when massive
amount of data is stored in the FOMA terminal
or the device is exchanging large data with
microSD card.
UIM not recognized Q Check the orientation of the UIM card (zZ
page 20).
Clock shows wrong
time
Q The clock may show wrong time when the
device is continuously ON for a long time.
Check that [Automatic] checkbox for date and
time setting is selected, and then restart the
device in location subject to strong radio wave
signals (zZ page 65).

Cannot make calls
by tapping
Q Check that PIN code is not set (zZ page 60).
Q Check that the airplane mode is OFF (zZ page
56).
No ringtone Q Check that the ringtone volume is set to silent
(zZ page 58).
Q Check that the public mode and silent mode
are OFF (zZ page 47 and page 56).
Q Check that calling time for voicemail or call
forwarding services is not set to [0 second]
(zZ page 52 and page 53).
